Melbourne Victory are unsure whether star Harry Kewell will be fit for Sunday's A-League clash against Perth Glory.
Kewell returned to Melbourne on Sunday after suffering hamstring tightness in the Socceroos' 1-0 World Cup qualifying loss to Oman in Muscat, missing Tuesday's match against Thailand in Bangkok.
"Kewell is receiving ongoing treatment," the Victory said in a statement.
"Harry arrived back in Melbourne ... to receive individual treatment from Melbourne Victory medical staff and will be given every chance to prove his fitness ahead of Sunday's clash."
"He's 50-50 at the moment, I saw him in the changerooms this morning," Victory midfielder Leigh Broxham said.
"They will assess him later in the week ... hopefully he does play, but they'll make the right decision either way.
"Of course, it is a bit of a disappointment (if Kewell is unavailable) - fans love to see him play, he's an asset to the team.
"But he's only human, it's bound to happen every now and again throughout the year, as it does with everyone."
Meanwhile Victory captain Adrian Leijer says it is about time his team starts scoring goals.
Regardless of Kewell's availability, Leijer said his team must start finding the back of the net more often.
The Victory had a scoreless draw with Central Coast on Sunday, their fourth draw in six matches.
Defence, rather than Victory's much-heralded attack, has been their strength so far this season.
"If we win 4-3, I'd be happy," Leijer said.
"Defensively, yes, we haven't been conceding a lot of goals, but ... we haven't been scoring a lot, either.
"It's a balance ... the fans want to see us scoring goals and I want to see us scoring goals."
Leijer said there was no frustration with Victory's start to the season, but said they had to start showing better form.
"We're not playing our best football, we're not anywhere near what we can be and we all know that," he said.
"The good thing is, we're picking up points, we had a very good win in Wellington.
"We've been drawing a lot of games, so if we turn those draws into wins then we'd be up close near the top of the table."
The Victory will host Perth at Docklands.
