Melbourne Heart goalkeeper Clint Bolton and defender Simon Colosimo have proved their fitness and will play in Saturday night's derby against Melbourne Victory.
Neither has played for the Heart in their winless start to the season.
But both trained well on Thursday to back up promising sessions on Wednesday, and will be named in the Heart squad to take on the Victory.
Bolton, who has been battling a groin injury that needs ongoing management, said a lighter training regimen had really helped him in his efforts to play his first game of the season.
"I feel good - had a good hit-out today and I'm pencilled in for the game on Saturday," Bolton said.
"Barring any unforeseen circumstances, I'll be there. These big games are what I enjoy the most, so I'm looking forward to it."
Colosimo has trained well all week, and two runs with the Heart's youth team have put him on track for an immediate call-up to central defence.
The Victory are equally desperate to take maximum points from the clash with the Heart.
The Harry Kewell-led Victory have just one point from their two matches, and have not scored a goal this season.
