Sydney FC midfielder Mark Bridge could spend two weeks on the sidelines as a result of his altercation with Melbourne Victory defender Rodrigo Vargas.
Bridge was red-carded in the 75th minute of Sydney's season-opening draw on Saturday night, with the match review panel deciding Bridge had "committed the offence of assault on a player."
Vargas went down after collecting what appeared to be a forearm to the throat, the incident sparking an all-in scuffle.
Bridge has until midday Tuesday to either accept the ban or take his case to Football Federation Australia's disciplinary committee.
