Updated August 14, 2012 11:52:58

Fledgling A-League franchise Western Sydney Wanderers have added Croatians Dino Kresinger and Mateo Poljak to the line-up for their inaugural season as foreign imports.

Kresinger, 30, played 11 seasons in his home country as a forward for five different clubs.

Poljak, a 22-year-old midfielder, has been a member of the national under-19 side as well as spending five seasons in the Croatian league.

Both men will have their first training run with the Wanderers on Monday.

Coach Tony Popovic said in a club statement he is happy to welcome the pair.

"It's great to have the guys here, they are two guys that we have monitored for a while," Popovic said.

"Dino is someone that is the ultimate professional, he's been in the game for a long time and wants to do well in Australia.

"Mateo is very technical and he has high aspirations to perform well in Australia.

"He sees this as a great challenge for him to have and be out of his comfort zone is something that he is looking forward to."
