Demba Ba could play for his new club Chelsea in this weekend's FA Cup third-round tie at Southampton after completing his transfer for an undisclosed fee.
The former Newcastle striker, who is the Premier League's joint third highest goal scorer this season, is eligible for the match and could play.
Chelsea is currently fourth in the Premier League after losing at home to bottom club Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday.
