The two winning teams in ABC Newcastle's inaugural 1233 Challenge Cup are hoping for the clouds to clear as they line up for the big game this Saturday. For the first time ever, the game between the two local under-12 sides will be broadcast live by our Jets commentary team, including Aaron Kearney.
The Kotara South Tigers and New Lambton Eagles are ready to take their place in history this Saturday in the inaugural 1233 Challenge Cup.This Saturday's broadcast, live on 1233, will see both teams receive the full A-League treatment including complete player and game commentary with a sideline eye, as well as pre- and post-game intervews with the team and coach.
An A-League player will be joining the teams on the day to encourage them and give playing and coaching tips.
All registered under-12 teams in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Hunter Valley areas were invited to enter the Challenge Cup by telling us about their team's greatest moment, in 300 words or less.
Some amazing responses were received, and the two entries from our winning Challenge Cup teams suggest that this will be a great moment for both sides.

The game will be played, weather permitting, at Novocastrian Park in Orchardtown Rd, New Lambton.
